I was wandering down the streets of Palma the other day and I came across a new shop which really caught my eye. It seemed like a souvenir shop but with really quirky and unique products like a sobrassada magnet or an ensaimada cushion! The shop I found was called Spaint and its now one of my favourite independent shops in Mallorca. Why? Because they sell memories and gifts that are specifically exclusive to the island and I think its a great way to remember your holiday in Mallorca. So let’s take a look around…
Spaint Art Workshops & Classes
Spaint is not only a shop to buy gifts and memories, it’s also a place to learn! Every month or so, Spaint offers different kinds of workshops for art lovers to come and get their hands dirty. They have previously hosted a watercolour workshop, calligraphy class and even the chance to create your own stamps! Check their Facebook page to be updated with all of Spaint’s events and for updates about the shop and new products.
Mallorca Illustrations & Posters
The main products available in Spaint are illustrations of individual places from all around the island and of the rest of Spain. You can find the old fashioned train to Soller or the green landscapes of Sa Forada or even a traditional Malloquin breakfast! Spaint also sells art from places outside of the island including Park Guell in Barcelona and the famous Gran Via in Madrid! The best thing about this shop is that each piece of artwork is done by a different local artist which Spaint helps to promote both online and in the local store. These posters start from only 15€ which is a bargain for something so special.
Gifts & Memories from Mallorca
Maybe you want to buy something a bit different than art and illustrations. Something which fits better in your suitcase? Spaint has many other small options in the store like Mallorcan key rings, handmade magnets and vintage postcards. In the online shop you can also find calendars, notebooks and mini figurines for Christmas time or other events.
